I am diagnosed with prostate cancer and the oncologist doctor recommended to go immediately into chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

The oncologist warned me about the side effects of these two and said that the cancer treatment would be somehow taxing.

He advised me to exercise under supervision so I prepare my body and mind better, and get stronger for the incoming prostate cancer treatment.

I haven’t exercised regularly for a long time and when I used to exercise it would have been for 30, 40 minutes at my best.

The medical doctor said that a personalised and focused exercise programme on my challenges and needs will make me stronger and it will support my body physiology better during the prostate cancer treatment.

It made sense to me. I wanted to be fit and healthy and have a good stamina.

Jazz was recommended to me.

I bought 16 sessions of personal training in London delivered at my location and at my availability.

Jazz was always in time.

My availability to train was always taken into consideration and Jazz trained me around my schedule.

Before starting training with Jazz I was tired and had very low energy, not much  strength, reduced range of movement in the chest, shoulder, hip area and a poor posture.

I couldn’t raise my arms above the head unless my arms were bent from the elbow and even with the elbow bent I couldn’t straighten my arms up.

The restricted range of movement in the shoulder area and the poor posture limited my breathing and other movements. My arms, shoulder, neck as well as my posture needed a lot of hard work.

Even though I haven’t  previously  exercised regularly after training with Jazz I noticed lots of great improvements.

In the beginning, I feel exhausted after the session.

Now, I don’t and I am still standing after 60, 70 minutes of training.

My stamina and my endurance has hugely improved.

My recoverability period has also improved.

On my 10th session training with Jazz I would say that I’m 30, 40% stronger .

Jazz designed for me and helped me with a lot of specialised Pilates exercises and especially assisted stretches which I couldn’t do on my own.

My flexibility has dramatically improved.  Now, I can raise the hands above my head. Before training with Jazz, I could not do this. I don’t have back pain anymore.

My posture has also improved.

I think I am about 40, 50% towards complete flexibility and I am definitely heading into the right direction training with Jazz.

My confidence in one to one Pilates designed for my needs and physical exercise has massively improved.

I am now happy to take up higher challenges.

I have no problems with mental confidence.
