I have been training with Jazz for over a year and achieved more than I thought possible.

When I was looking for a new personal trainer in central London, I was lucky enough to come across Jazz’s website and discover his unique training experience across a wide variety of disciplines.

What really appealed to me was that Jazz is a 2nd generation Pilates trainer and could incorporate this into a training programme.

I initially contacted Jazz through the website and received a very quick and professional response – much quicker than expected!

Before I knew it, I was meeting with Jazz at my flat to discuss my training goals, challengesand what I wanted to achieve by training with Jazz.

I wanted to correct my posture, strengthen my core, increase body awareness, and maximise strength and flexibility but, all in a balanced and safe way.

Jazz was very flexible from the outset and we agreed my goals, training program and schedule.

One of the best parts from my perspective was that the training sessions could take place at my flat.

Previously I had only ever trained in a gym and thought this was the only way to train.

Now, I mainly train at home which has proved to be more effective for me in terms of achieving strength and flexibility than just going to the gym.

Jazz devised acustomised programme which showed me incredible gains can be made with very little equipment and using just your own body weight!

This has also meant that I’ve learnt effective ways to train whilst travelling for work and holidays which has been invaluable.

After just a few sessions with Jazz I realised that he truly does offer a unique and customised training approach and could really help me achieve my goals safely.

Not only that, Jazz made my goals his goals, and was always so incredibly enthusiastic about our training sessions!

Our sessions never felt rushed and Jazz provided me with additional time to help achieve my goals safely.

There was strong support throughout, whether it be phone calls, messages, WhatsApp or via email.

Before each training session Jazz messaged to see how I recovered from the last training session and if any alterations would need to be made for the next session depending on how I was feeling.

We regularly revisited my goals and achievements and took many photos and videos along the way to both keep track of my achievements and to enable Jazz to provide movement analysis and correct technique.

I now have a very large library of photos and videos that I still use to check my technique and remember all of the different exercises!!

For quite some time I had been very interested in Pilates and its benefits.

I wanted to learn Pilates using proper technique and who better to teach me than Jazz – a 2nd generation Pilates trainer!!

Immediately it was clear that Jazz’s Pilates skills were exceptional and I started performing exercises under his guidance that I never thought I could.

Approximately 50% of the exercises Jazz incorporated into my programme were Pilates exercises.

It was so helpful and reassuring to learn these exercises from a trainer who was able to execute the technique perfectly and explain how the exercise was beneficial and relevant to my goals e.g. strengthen the hips or knees or correct posture.

If something was too challenging or didn’t work for me, Jazz was easily able to make modification without compromising the effectiveness of the exercise.

Because I trusted Jazz and I knew that safety was always first in any of his training sessions, I was able to attempt many exercises I otherwise wouldn’t have and was confident that when Jazz said I could do it that I COULD!

The Pilates exercises were integral in improving my flexibility and co-ordination by 60-70%.

My core was stronger and I felt the strongest I ever had.

I followed Jazz’s programme he created specifically for me and soon it became a part of my regular exercise routine.

Below are some of my key achievements that resulted from training with Jazz:

  • stretch my hamstring to 90 degrees or more
  • able to complete 24 push-ups in a row
  • able to complete 34 standing rows
  • developing a very strong core
  • postural improvement and greater awareness of posture in day to day activities
  • completed advanced Pilates exercises such as one-leg circle and cork screw
  • performed lunges using the correct technique
