Eating better in 2013

January is that time of year when we all really take a look at what we’ve been doing to our bodies the previous year.  Many of us join gyms and then forget about them or start radical diets and ruin our bodies even further. If you read our last post, we talked about keeping fit in a fun and interactive way, this time it’s all about what we’re shovelling in to our mouths…

Keeping in theme with our look good, feel good, life’s good – we thought we’d speak to expert nutritionist and personal trainer to the stars Alessi Jazz ; on the effects of  healthy food on the body.

Alessi says “

Good nutrition will instruct your cells to naturally detox, strengthen up, lose weight and provide them with the required nutrients we need to keep safe and thrive.

The human body has over 70 anti-inflammatory genes!

The foods we eat contain different quality and classes of unique enzymes, chemical structures and nutrients used by the human cells. These foods will instruct our genes and tell them what to do – to switch on or off through the nutrients we consume, – digest and ultimately assimilate.

However, our lifestyle is a real king. Peer-reviewed studies which are the gold standard of mainstream science shows that the right exercise and nutrition will put us and our genes in the driving seat.

Food rich in chemical and toxins and saturated fats makes us put on weight,  drives down our performance at the work place and at home and will have an negative affect on our mental focus and mood.

Such foods increase the cancer causing IGF-I, free radicals, chemical-toxic load, and inflammation level raising the C-reactive protein levels (an inflammation marker).

“Clean Food – Lean Bodies!” my nutritional philosophy does exactly what it says and the opposite.

“Clean Food – Lean Bodies!” helps our genes, cells and organs and body performing at its peak while maintaining it “Clean and Lean”.

THIS unique nutritional philosophy supplies our bodies with the bespoke nutrients required to get rid of dangerous toxins, protect against nutrients deficiencies, lower the inflammation levels and, to help us detoxify smoothly while losing weight fast and safe.

Here is a smoothie recipe I designed for you to help you to keep full while losing weight.

1/2 scoop of Garden of Life DetoxFiber (organic)
2 cups of raspberries, strawberries or both
2 cup of fresh blueberries
2 cup of fresh papaya
2 cups of unsweetened, organic almond, rice or coconut milk
