Constant chronic sciatica pain is exhausting, mentally and emotionally.

It prevented me from being able to enjoy anything and everything in my daily life and as a result, altered my demeanour.

I struggled to carry out the simplest of daily tasks.

I sought Jazz’s help after dealing with constant daily lower back and sciatica pain for 6 months, caused by a herniated disk in my lower back (L5/S1).

Getting dressed was very difficult.

Putting my socks and shoes on – almost impossible at times.

Sitting down triggered pain.

So did standing still, getting in and out of a car, getting things in and out the dishwasher, washing machine, drawers and cupboards, even sneezing and coughing! I couldn’t lift anything. I couldn’t look over my shoulder.

I couldn’t get comfortable in bed.

I literally couldn’t do anything as I did it before.

At work or in social situations I was constantly putting on a brave face, when inside, I was very unhappy, which made me feel isolated and alone.

After 6 months of that, I was in quite a dark place emotionally and during my training with Jazz I also found out from an X-ray that I had mild scoliosis and a slightly tilted pelvis.

I’d been doing a lot of research about how to help myself get better and read that, for people suffering with back problems, strengthening the core is a key to recovery, so I did an Internet search for Pilates in my area.

I tried a couple of different classes, but felt very alienated by the teachers having to constantly give me modifications due to my injury.

Even then, a lot of the exercises were painful, so I didn’t have confidence that they were safe at all.

I knew then I needed someone with specialist knowledge about injuries, who I could train with one-to-one and so I think I typed in something like ‘back injury’ ‘best personal trainer in London’ or elite personal training in London and ‘Pilates Personal Training London’… and that’s how I found Jazz’s website.

Jazz presented himself as being exceptionally knowledgeable, professional and experienced, very confident in his abilities to help people recover from injuries like mine.

Had it not been for the video testimonials, I would have thought him too good to be true, because there are lots of people out there in the health and well-being industry these days claiming to know what they’re doing, when really they don’t and through experience, I’ve grown to be quite sceptical!

But actually SEEING people talk about their experience training with Jazz and hearing about the results they achieved instilled me with a lot of faith.

You can tell from a video whether people are being genuine or not and I knew the video testimonials were genuine.

No other personal trainer could back up their claims in this way, so I started training with Jazz!

Jazz sees you as a real person, not just a ‘client’.

He was wholeheartedly invested in my recovery, would check in on me between sessions and was 100% focused and ‘present’ during my training.

His messages were always positive, encouraging and I felt genuinely cared for.

The exercises that I found the most challenging in the beginning are the ones I ended up growing to love, because they were the ones that targeted the weak, tight muscles and are now making me stronger and in less pain.

I felt a ‘jamming’ in my lower back and I had nerve pain all the way down my left leg.

But, as the training went on, the pain shifted around as Jazz worked on retraining my muscle groups and realigning my structure.

Eventually, all the discomfort localised in my left hip and stayed like that for quite a while.

Then one day, just after my 16th session, the pain suddenly decreased to next-to-nothing!

It was like a miracle.

Jazz has helped me and many others recover successfully from their injuries.

His knowledge about anatomy, physiology, nutrition and how to exercise safely – SAFELY being the key word, I believe, is unparalleled.

Having suffered with a similar injury himself, he genuinely understands what you’re going through and now he’s using his experience to help others, which I deeply admire.

You can trust him 100%. Jazz’s in-depth knowledge and years of experience earns him that, he’s honest, reliable and conducts himself in a very professional manner.

When you have an injury, there’s no margin for error.

You have choose people who really know what they are doing.

SAFETY is his top priority.

He is very vigilant when it comes to carrying out movements safely in order to prevent further injury, which is such an important factor.

He’s understanding and compassionate when it comes to your pain and encourages you to listen to your body and respect its limitations.

Jazz genuinely cares about his clients and is 100% committed to making sure they achieve their fitness goals / recovery from injuries.

recommend him highly!
